Jade DeLaronde

Jade DeLaronde is an accomplished dancer, choreographer, educator, and International adjudicator, from Toronto, Ontario. She has performed in a variety of shows and festivals as well as taught Internationally throughout North America, Europe, and Africa. Jade continued her pursuit of dance and graduated from York University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Dance Program specializing in Choreography and Performance. She also achieved her Bachelor of Education with a focus on Dance Pedagogy and the Social Sciences. Jade is the founder of Sol Dance Collective, a dance and educational program aspiring to bring like-minded dancers together to train, learn, and grow in a positive and enriching community.  Through Sol, DeLaronde’s ​​mission is to inspire and encourage emerging dancers to reach their full and endless potential. Over the past 10 years, Jade has committed to honing her skills as an educator. She has acquired numerous credentials and certifications throughout her teaching career, including an International Judging License with IDO, Progressive Ballet Technique Certification, Level 2 Certification with Gymnastics Ontario, and a membership with the Professional Adjudicator’s Alliance.

Jade has had the privilege of studying with world-renowned Tap artists such as Barbara Duffy, Heather Cornell, and Ted Levy. She has also had the opportunity to perform choreographic work created by Ayodele Casel, Mike Minery, and Anthony Morigerato at the American Tap Festival in Los Angeles, California. Jade has been awarded the title of “World Champion” in the Adult Tap Solo category twice at this festival for presenting her own choreographic work. Jade has danced in; South Africa, Poland, Germany, New York, and Niagara Falls to compete with the Canadian National Dance Team winning Canada three world titles at the IDO World Championships. Professional performance credits include American Tap Festival Concert of Stars in California,  M.I.X Dance Company in Germany, France, & Italy, CAPA in New York, Toronto Raptors Dance Pak, Rhythm and Sound, Toffan Rhythm Project, and Toes For Dance IGNITE in Toronto.

Jade’s love for dance has never been hard to recognize as her constant dedication to the art is portrayed in all aspects of her life including performing, choreographing, and teaching our next generation of dancers. Jade’s passion for dance is portrayed most prominently when given the opportunity to motivate aspiring creators to follow their passions and acknowledge their true potential. 

 Jade is thrilled to merge her soul, creativity, and passion for this art form and bring it to a higher level with her new project Sol Dance Collective ☀️
